Hello everyone!

It’s that time of year again where we are looking for volunteers to help at the Victoria Pet Expo booth at Pearkes Arena on May 4th and 5th,10-5 Saturday and 10-4 Sunday.

Each volunteer will have a 2 hour shift at our booth probably working along side an experienced member.  You will also have access to check out the other booths and demonstrations when on break or when you are finished with your shift.

This is a good opportunity for those of you who are newly diagnosed with Lyme and/or those new to our group or with little knowledge of Lyme to learn and help give back.  The Victoria Pet Expo is a big supporter of our group and during this event we get the opportunity to educate and inform the public of the dangers of Lyme disease here on the island and elsewhere.  If you are able to take a shift or two, please email us at victorialyme@gmail.com

If you have anything to donate for a prize basket or have time to help set up and take down, please let us know.

For more information about the Pet Expo, please go to their website at https://www.victoriapetexpo.com

Thank you,

VI Lyme

Lyme Awareness and Support Meeting: Sunday, February 24, 1-3 pm

Hello everyone,
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.   Our next Lyme meeting is scheduled for this Sunday, February 24  from 1-3 pm near the Hillside Mall. Contact victorialyme@gmail.com for the address, directions, and parking.

We do not have a speaker scheduled, so this will be a general support group meeting to
1) share any of your successes or struggles with other members
2) provide any updates on past, current and upcoming Lyme news

We hope to see a good turn out at our meeting and are looking forward to seeing how everyone is doing.

If you'd like to bring a healthy snack to share, please do so. Coffee, tea and water will be provided.
NOTE:  There are still a lot of books and videos that have been signed out, but have not been returned.  If you have one or more of these items and you are finished with the material, please return it so that someone else can use it.  Thank you!!!

Please remember not to wear fragrances, as some people are sensitive.

You are welcome to put forward agenda items for future meetings.

We hope to see you all there.

All the best,

VI Lyme

Our Members

Our support group is a compassionate and considerate mix of people with Lyme Disease and Co-Infections, and the friends and family of patients. Lyme disease is a bacteriological infection, spread by ticks, which, if left untreated, can disseminate throughout the body, causing a wide range of debilitating symptoms.

Everyone is welcome. Please email us at victorialyme@gmail.com if you are considering coming to the meeting, so we can arrange the room accordingly. Please bring an open mind and heart to all meetings, and be respectful of varying opinions, and illness.
