12. This message arrived from a non-Facebook group and I thought I'd share...it's thought provoking and being that a lot of patients dealing with chronic illness are EMF sensitive - it's pertinent to a lot of us here...
Not all electromagnetic fields are damaging-the existence of, and need for, various types of healing electro medical types is testimony to that. However, many of the modern "conveniences" we are getting used to, and think we cannot live without, ARE dangerous. They are dangerous not only to our health, but to the health of future generations, as well as to animals and plants. For those of us who already understand the data proving the dangers of Wi-Fi and other damaging EMFs, this report takes it to a whole new level. Jennifer Lake provides additional, mind-boggling details involving history, legal sanctions, and politics. Her annotated report is long, but worth reading.

After you read it, do something pleasurable as an antidote: go outside, pet the dog or cat, make crafts, swim. And turn off your cell phone. If you live in a city or town that's already awash in EMFs, walk on the grass barefoot. The healing electrons from the Earth will help ground you.

Nenah Sylver, PhD, author, the NEW Rife Handbook (2011)
13. Article from National Geographic, with a comment at bottom of it from Jim Wilson.

14. One more article about a scientific research study.
This one shows how previous studies done were flawed, and that actually retreatment with antibiotics is necessary when relapse occurs.
15. From Facebook tip of the day: Dr David Jernigan Aug. 15, 2012
Prolonged antibiotics can damaged the absorptive membranes in the digestive system that allow water to be distributed throughout the body. The water in your body is much like the water in the radiator of your car that keeps the engine from overheating, only it keeps your organs from overheating. One sign of water distribution problems is seen on the tongue. Look in the mirror at your tongue. Stick out your tongue and allow it to lay relaxed. If you see scalloping (tooth marks) or a thin ridge along the edge of the tongue it means your tissues are dehydrated. You might drink plenty of water but it is not getting evenly distributed throughout your body, and often you are just urinating it out. This fluid regulation problem is also associated with the symptoms of busy brain, attention deficit, and chronic fatigue. Often people with this find it difficult to turn off their brain at bed time and therefore suffer from insomnia. Correcting this problem requires getting tested by your doctor for the appropriate botanical formula to help restore proper fluid transportation. One of the best formulas for this is a Chinese formulation called Gui Pi Wan.
INFORMAL DISCUSSION (information sharing, support, orientation for newcomers, questions, ideas for upcoming meetings)

12. From Facebook tip of the day:
Health tip of the day: The tongue can reveal much of what is going wrong in the body. For instance, go to the mirror and lift up your tongue so that you can see underneath. If you see blue/black veins on the bottom side of the tongue it means that you likely are suffering from hyper-coagulation (Thick blood) and blood stagnation. In a healthy individual no veins should be visible under the tongue.
According to David Berg, founder HEMEX Labs, 90% of Lyme, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Patients have hyper-coaguable (thick blood). About 20% of people with these illnesses may have a genetic defect leading to hypercoagulation and biofilm development.
The most researched and reliable way to address hyper-coagulation is by using the nutraceutical called Lumbrokinase. This is a safe systemic enzyme that can be taken as directed on the bottle or as your doctor recommends for years if necessary. You can order Lumbrokinase by calling the Hansa Center or your doctor. Of course, do not take this if you are already taking prescription blood thinners or have a bleeding disorder.
13. Informal Discussion (information sharing, support, orientation for newcomers, questions, ideas for upcoming meetings)

17. From Facebook tip of the day:
Dr David Jernigan June 14, 2012
Health tip of the day: Often so much attention is given to "killing" the bacteria in cases of Lyme disease with little thought given by the doctor as to the restoration of what has been damaged in the body by the bugs. It is like killing the termites in the wood of your house. Just killing them does nothing to repair the damage they have caused in the wood, plus now you have a toxic chemical to deal with from the poison used to kill them.
Since Lyme disease affects virtually every system in the body, virtually every tissue and system in the body needs to have some sort of repair before full recovery can be expected.
It is a myth that you will be well when all of the various bacteria and coinfections are killed off. You will be well when all of the tissues and systems of your body have been restored. The best antibiotics combinations in the world will only kill 85% of the target bacteria at best...you had better make sure your body can fend off the rest by restoring the integrity of every aspect of the body, mind, and spirit.

19. Next meeting: August 26, 2012 6:00-8:00pm Green Cuisine. We hope to sit outside.

9. Dr. Murakami’s reasons for optimism in the medical community:
Ernie Murakami, June 3, 2012, Some reasons for optimism with the " Medical Divide "

The majority of medical doctors are still adamant about the Lyme situation and fearful to treat but there are things happening slowly but gradually:
The Brian Schmidt reportPeer reviewed animal studiesDr Pat McGeer’s post mortem report culturing of live spirochetesmany of the Naturopathic Physicians are on board in Canada with prescription priveleges in B.C. and hopefully soon in other provinces. The Manitoba Government recently had a Lyme disease Symposium with equal representation of LLMDs and non-LLMDs and I know some non-believers are opening their minds about chronic Lyme disease being an infection. This may have been the first meeting with equal representation from both sides of the Medical divide. There are 7 American States with laws protecting LLMDs from harrassment, investigations and suspension of licences with some States the doctors have voluntarily shelved the IDSA guidelines. In England one of my LLMD associates had a court case dropped due to inadequate evidence by the non Literate complainers.John Scott has done extensive studies of migratory birds carrying ticks which are spreading vector borne diseases on a continuous daily basis in North America. The Boucher Institute has and will continue with my teaching about Lyme disease to the graduating students on an annual basis.
10. In the news: The provincial government routinely fails its legal duty to promptly inform citizens of risks to public health and safety, warn legal scholars at the University of Victoria. Includes Lyme disease.
