Draft Agenda for June 23rd Meeting

NEW MEETING TIME   Meetings are held on the fourth Sunday of each month.  This month we meet on Sunday, June 23rd, from 2 - 4 pm. Coffee and tea are provided free of charge.  Snacks to share are appreciated.

INTRODUCTIONS

Welcome message to new members.

First time attendees are encouraged to use the first portion of our meeting to introduce themselves, share their concerns, and ask questions.

UPDATES

1. Lyme Support Library  - our group's library can give you the chance to read a book and decide if you would like to purchase for your own personal use, or save your money. Are there any books that anyone would like to see in the library? Do you have a book or DVD to donate?  $10 to join the library, one book out at a time, to be returned at next meeting.  Our library books/dvds:

6.  With less than one year left to negotiate a 2014 Health Accord, the Council of Canadians is asking you to tell your health care story, and send a powerful message to our elected representatives. Use your video camera or webcam and tell them about a great experience you had with public health care and why we need to protect it. Talk about difficulties you had getting care and why we need to strengthen medicare. Talk about gaps in the current system where we need to expand health care.
